The Federal Investigation Agency has nominated PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif and Hamza Shehbaz Sharif as main accused in its challan which the agency has submitted to the Banking Court, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Reportedly, the FIA on Monday submitted a challan against Shehbaz and Hamza to the Banking Crime Court in Lahore nominating them as main accused, besides providing a list of 100 witnesses in the Rs25 billion money laundering case. These witnesses will give evidence against Shehbaz and Hamza.
The FIA challan consisted of seven volumes. It also nominated the facilitators and benamidars of the Shehbaz Sharif family as accused.
Salman Sharif, another son of Shehbaz Sharif, and two others have already been declared proclaimed offenders in the case.
Yesterday, the FIA did not submit its challan to the Banking Crime Court saying that it would submit its challan to the relevant court as the Banking Crime Court did not have the jurisdiction to hear this case.
Showing its indignation, the Banking Crime Court chided the FIA lawyer telling him off that the petition was being heard by this court and the Federal Investigation Agency wanted to submit the challan somewhere else. The court directed him to submit challan to the Banking Court.
