Man arrested for hitting Karachi police and running

A man was arrested for hitting and running over a policeman in a high-speed car in the Defence area of Karachi, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Tuesday.

The lawmen said that the policeman, Bilal, who tried to stop the car to search it sustained critical injuries as the driver Farhan Hussain hit him at a high speed and ran away.

South Zone Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Syed Asad Raza said that the driver has been arrested and the car has also been taken into custody. A case has been filed against the accused and further investigation is underway.
