Faiz Hameed was not only one who worked on ‘Project Imran Khan’, says Kh Asif
Defence Minister says "conspiring elements" are still making efforts to bring Imran back: All such elements will be held accountable
Defence Minister Khawaja Asif said on Saturday that not only former spymaster Faiz Hameed but there were other people as well who had worked on "PTI founder Imran Khan project", which had been launched 12 years ago, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Speaking to media at Sialkot, Khawaja Asif said that more action would be taken against Faiz, who was instrumental in bringing the PTI founder to power. “When Imran was the country’s prime minister, parliament was made subordinate to the ISI,” he added.
Slowly and slowly, he further said, the nexus between Imran and Faiz began to unravel.
The minister said that even today, some invisible forces were bent upon bringing Imran back to power.
He alleged that the May 9 incidents of violence were orchestrated only for the sake of Imran.
Asif reiterated that the former prime minister, Nawaz Sharif, was ousted without any evidence.
He claimed that whenever Nawaz came to power, he built Pakistan. “History bears testimony to the fact that he has always delivered goods,” he said, adding, “Now his brother and daughter are serving the nation.”
He claimed that he had been forced to give a statement against Nawaz. “But I refused to do so, saying the former prime minister is my leader.”
Lashing out at the PTI for pressing for talks with the TTP, the minister said that all PTI leaders paid ransom to the militant outfit.
He also showered praise on Pakistan Army for inflicting humiliating defeat on India. “The entire world acknowledged our army’s valour,” he said, and added that the US President Donald time and again mentioned the downing of Indian jets by our air force.
