Now decisions in these cases are expected to be announced on February 19.
Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Ali Zaidi, on July 7, 2020, had appealed to the Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Gulzar Ahmed to take a suo moto notice of the Joint Investigation Team’s (JIT) report on Lyari gang war leader Uzair Baloch. Zaidi said: “I directly as an elected MNA from Karachi and a true follower of Imran Khan make a passionate appeal to Chief Justice of Supreme Court of Pakistan. Sir I have never met you but please take a suo moto notice.”
He said come what may, he will face all the consequences of the suo moto notice and if nobody will go into the court, he will file an appeal.
