Senate Deputy Chairman Saleem Mandviwalla has told Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani that the opposition has not backed down on its stance on the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
In a meeting with Sanjrani in Islamabad, he said that he and the opposition would not budge even by an inch from the parliamentary way of resolving issues. “The opposition plans to table another resolution against the NAB if its concerns are not addressed,” he said categorically.
However, he clarified he wanted that the issue of the NAB overstepping its powers was resolved amicably.
On the other hand, Adviser to Prime Minister on Accountability and Interior Shahzad Akbar and Adviser to Prime Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Babar Awan did not attend the meeting convened to discuss people’s complaints against the NAB.
