The Sindh High Court (SHC) Thursday ordered for guidelines to demolish the Alizeh Arcade located in Gulshan-e-Iqbal in Karachi, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The court also sought officer’s names in 15 days who were involved in approving Alizeh Arcade building.
Justice Hassan Azhar Rizvi while hearing the illegal constructions in Karachi case remarked that corrupt officer’s names should be provided to the Anti-Corruption Establishment as well.
He remarked the court had given orders to demolish the fourth floor of the Aliza Arcade but only eviction notices were issued.
The court further said that with only ‘letter writing’ approach, it would take another five years.
Sindh Building Control Authority counsel said the SHC could summon the head of the committee that had been formed on this encroachment matter.
He further informed the court that SCBA has started action against officers involved in the encroachment drive.
The SHC also heard the case of South Park Clifton anchormen and sought a detailed report from the Clifton Content Board.
While in the Federal F-B Block (III) illegal constructions case, the SHC ordered construction work on Plot No 711.
