Internet erupts over Alizeh Shah’s ‘final warning’ to Yasir Nawaz over maligning

Alizeh Shah has publicly warned Yasir Nawaz against repeatedly mentioning her name on television and other platforms, threatening to file a defamation lawsuit if the actor-director continues this practice.

Taking to Instagram, she shared a strongly worded story, calling it her final warning to Yasir Nawaz.

She stated that despite it being five years since they last worked together, he continues to reference her in interviews and talk shows in a manner she described as maligning.

“This is my final warning to Yasir Nawaz to refrain from taking my name on any platform. It has been five years since I worked on a project with him, yet he continues to mention my name on nearly every talk show he appears on,” she wrote.

Alizeh claimed that Yasir Nawaz’s comments about her have been inconsistent and damaging.

“At times, he offers an apology, and at other times, he claims that the experience was ‘not fun.’ Regardless, this does not give him the right to repeatedly drag my name for the past five years,” she added.

The actress revealed that she has kept records of every show in which she believes she was defamed.

“I have documented reports and records of every show in which he has defamed me,” she said, making it clear that her warning should be taken seriously.

Issuing a firm ultimatum, Alizeh stated: “If he mentions my name again or refers to me in any capacity on any future platform, I will proceed with filing a defamation lawsuit against him without further notice.”

She went on to add that if the behaviour continues, she would disclose to the industry the real reasons behind their strained working relationship. “Trust me, it will not reflect well on your image,” she cautioned.

The Instagram story quickly went viral, with entertainment portals and celebrity gossip platforms widely sharing the development.

Social media users remain divided, with many praising Alizeh Shah for setting boundaries, while others await a response from Yasir Nawaz.

Alizeh Shah has recently remained highly vocal about exploitative practices and the toxic environment within the entertainment industry.

In a series of video confessions in July 2025, she emphasised the importance of consent, stating, “I don't allow anyone to touch me if it's not a part of the scene.”

She revealed that when she set personal boundaries –such as calling out unhygienic behaviour or requesting a separate makeup room as a smoker –she was labelled “difficult” and “unprofessional” by senior peers and producers.

Shah exposed the industry’s harassment and closed-door rituals, admitting they had left her with PTSD. “I was broken to the point that I started hating myself,” she said.

She highlighted issues of delayed payments, revealing that actors often have to wait three to four months for their checks.

She described the degrading process of having to “beg” producers for her own hard-earned money, only to be made to feel as though they were doing her a “huge favour” once paid.

Alizeh stated that these payment issues were a primary reason she stopped working, famously declaring: “If asking for respect and timely payment makes me difficult, then maybe this industry needs to reflect on what professionalism really means.”

She claimed that her refusal to conform to unethical norms and insistence on timely payment led to her being blacklisted by some production houses.

She alleged that paid pages were even used to troll her online as part of a calculated campaign to damage her professional image.
