A man shot his brother and his (brother) wife dead in Aziz Colony of Shahdara, Lahore late Sunday night, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday. 

Police said the dead were identified as 34-year-old Muhammad Fazl Elahi and Fauzia, and they had been shot dead by Tanveer. 

The man, however, escaped from the spot after committing the crime, it added.    

Taking notice of the incident, CCPO Bilal Siddique Kamyana has sought report from the SP City and ordered the arrest of the assassin as early as possible. 

SP City, on the other hand, has said that teams have been constituted and soon the man will be behind bars. 

According to the police, Tanveer was living with his brother Fazl in the same house.

However, relations between them were strained as there was a property dispute between them.  

Last night, they had an altercation with each other following which Tanveer took out a pistol and shot his brother and his wife dead. 

Both died instantly, police said. 

Soon after the incident, police and teams of forensic experts reached the crime scene and started collecting the evidence while the bodies were shifted to hospital for the postmortem.
