PPP leader, driver killed in gun attack in Pano Aqil

A local leader of the Pakistan Peoples Party and his driver were killed after unidentified armed men opened fire on them in Pano Aqil, Sukkur district, on Saturday, 24NewsHD TV reported.

According to initial reports, the attack took place near Baiji Chowk, where gunmen targeted PPP leader Ghulam Hussain Kalhoro and his driver, Abdullah Metlo.

The assailants fled the scene immediately after the shooting, spreading panic and fear in the area.

Both victims sustained critical injuries and were rushed to the local taluka hospital for emergency treatment.

Due to the severity of their wounds, they were later shifted to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) for specialized medical care.

However, despite efforts by doctors, Ghulam Hussain Kalhoro and Abdullah Metlo succumbed to their injuries.

Law enforcement agencies launched an investigation to determine the motive behind the shooting and identify those responsible.
