UET Lahore bags 31st position among world’s top 205 universities

University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore bagged 31st position among the world’s top 205 universities of engineering and technology, reported 24NewsHDTV channel. 

Over the years, UET has consistently improved its rankings in various disciplines. The university now ranks among the top 51-100 globally in petroleum engineering, while electrical and electronic engineering discipline has been placed between 201 and 250. Mechanical engineering discipline is ranked 251-300, while computer science and information systems have improved to 401-450. 

Additionally, mathematics remains in the 451-500 category, and business and management studies are ranked 551-600. 

UET has also maintained its ranking in physics and astronomy at 601-675, while chemical engineering and material sciences have been placed within the 351-400 range. The university ranks first in Pakistan for petroleum engineering, second in chemical and mechanical engineering, and third in electrical engineering. 

Vice Chancellor Dr. Shahid Munir attributed this success to the university’s faculty, students, and administrative staff. He highlighted the institution’s continuous academic excellence and research contributions for its rising global reputation.
