It’s time to resolve Kashmir issue, says COAS Gen Bajwa

Celebrates Eid with frontline troops at LOC

Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Thursday visited frontline troops deployed along the Line of Control (LOC) in Kashmir and celebrated Eidul Fitr with them, saying it’s time to resolve the Kashmir issue, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to a statement released by the ISPR, the COAS offered Eid prayers with the troops at the LOC, prayed for peace and prosperity of Pakistan.

Speaking at the occasion, General Bajwa hailed the morale of the troops, devotion and operational preparedness.

The COAS also appreciated the formation for all-out assistance extended to the civil administration for containment of the Covid-19 and stressed the need to exercise maximum caution.

Security, safety and well-being of the people of Pakistan is our responsibility, he said and added, Pakistan Army will do everything to live up to the expectations of our nation, the COAS reiterated.
The Army Chief especially paid tribute to the martyrs of Pakistan for their sacrifices. As soldiers we take pride to be on duty and defending the motherland irrespective of the front or occasion, the COAS emphasized.

“On this Eid day, we must not forget the valiant struggle of the brave people of Kashmir. Time to end this human tragedy and resolve the Kashmir issue as per aspirations of people of J&K and UN resolutions, the COAS concluded.
Lieutenant General Azhar Abbas, Commander Rawalpindi Corps, received the COAS at the LOC.
