A five-year programme to improve the higher education system in Pakistan has been launched in collaboration with the United States, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.

The project has been launched in partnership with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

Under the scheme, the higher education system will be improved and employment opportunities will be provided to the youth.

The project was launched on the occasion of the 75th year of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the United States and Pakistan.

USAID launched a $19 million, a five-year programme in partnership with Pakistan, which will benefit a total of 15 public universities, including the five public universities for women in Pakistan.
