Digital Traffic Challan “One App” unveiled in Rawalpindi

In a first, the Digital Traffic Challen “One App" was launched in Rawalpindi, reported 24News HD TV Channel on Wednesday.

A spokesman of the traffic police said that “it is the first time in history that a traffic enforcement system is launched based on evidence in Rawalpindi".

The spokesman further added that video evidence is mandatory to ensure transparency in the challan.

Video recording of traffic violations will be available for verification and security. The spokesman said that verification of CNIC and driving licence will also be completed on the spot, and the vehicle’s ownership, fitness certificate, and route permitted will also be verified.

Digital proceedings will also take place in encroachments and environmental violations. FIR status and e-challans will be examined through an integrated system.

The details of traffic violations will be received by the citizens through a QR code. 
Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Rawalpindi Farhan Aslam said that “One App” will help to maintain discipline and security on the journey.
