Physical scuffle erupts between PTI-backed MNAs during NA session

A physical altercation broke out between two members backed by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) during a National Assembly session on Wednesday, leading to disruption inside the parliamentary chamber.

According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, PTI lawmakers Iqbal Afridi and Junaid Akbar became involved in a heated argument that quickly escalated into a physical confrontation.

Witnesses said the two members exchanged harsh remarks before grabbing each other by the collar during the session.

Other lawmakers present in the assembly intervened and separated the two men in an effort to prevent the situation from worsening further.

Junaid Akbar was escorted to one side of the hall by fellow members, while other lawmakers restrained Iqbal Afridi on the opposite side.

Reports also suggested that both members continued exchanging angry remarks in Pashto during the incident in the House.

The confrontation briefly disrupted proceedings in the National Assembly and drew the attention of lawmakers across the chamber.
