The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has ordered authorities concerned to recover a missing man and produce him tomorrow, 24NewsHD TV channel reported Tuesday.
The court passed the orders while hearing the case of a missing man, Haseeb Hamza. It issued directives to produce Haseeb in court tomorrow at 10 am.
Last week, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif appeared in the court related to cases of missing persons and assured the court of resolving the issue at the earliest.
IHC Chief Justice Athar Minallah said there were some serious governing issues, which will be resolved only when the constitution is followed,” he emphasized.
“There cannot be state within a state. There is no big issue than that of involuntary disappearances since these are a blatant violation of the constitution,” CJ Minallah said.
The CJ, however, praised the prime minister for taking time out of his busy schedule and appearing in court. The prime minister said he was alive to the gravity of the situation.
“Although I have had a busy schedule since I have to visit flood-affected areas. But appearing in court is my duty. The government formed a committee for the purpose, which held several meetings as well. “From now on I will head the committee and report to the court,” he said.
