Pakistan beat China 5-1 in Asian Hockey Champions Trophy

Greenshirts qualify for semi-final: To clash with India tomorrow

Pakistan Hockey team qualified for semi-final of Asian Hockey Champions Trophy after beating China by 5-1 on Friday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

During first quarter of the game no goal was secured from both teams, while after 8 minutes of second-quarter Abdul Rehman secured first goal from an excellent pass of Hanan Shahid.

Pakistani team showed excellent performance in third quarter of the game and Nadeem Ahmad secured another goal in 11th minute and doubled Pakistan’s lead. While in fourth quarter of the game Hanan Shahid secured goal through penalty corner.

From Chinese side Chung Hung secured a goal through penalty corner and convert the situation as 3-1, but just before 4 minutes of final whistle Pakistan successfully secured two more goals and qualified for the semi-final.

It is necessary to mention here that Pakistan’s first two games ended in a draw against Malaysia and South Korea, respectively.

Meanwhile, Pakistan will play their last pool match against India at Moji, tomorrow.

The match will begin at 12:45 pm Pakistan Standard Time.
