3 notorious dacoits killed in police encounters in Islamabad, Lahore, Kabirwala

Three notorious dacoits were killed during three police encounters in Islamabad, Lahore and Kabirwala, reported 24NewsHDTV channel on Saturday.

The first police encounter took place in Joria Pulan at Jhang Road in Kabirwala. As per details, after receiving credible information about the presence of some notorious accused, a Crime Control Department (CCD) team was deployed at Thamian Bridge

The CCD team, after taking notice of a suspicious motorcycle, signalled it to stop, but the three accused who were riding the motorcycle opened fire on the CCD team.

During heavy exchange of fire, one dacoit, Rizwan Kamboh, died by the firing of his own accomplices.

CCD sources said that Rizwan was a notorious dacoit and police record holder. All the other accomplices of the accused escaped from the scene.

The second police encounter took place in the jurisdiction of Police Station Nilore, Islamabad, in which one drug-peddler was killed.

Police sources said that they raided a location in Charah Village, Lehtarar Road to arrest a proclaimed offender.

After taking notice of the police team, the accused started firing on them. During the exchange of fire, one accused, Hamza, died at the firing of his own accomplices.

Later, the remaining companions of the accused fled from the scene. Police started a search operation to apprehend them.

Police said that Hamza, son of Mehmood, was wanted by the police in seven criminal cases registered at the Police Station Nailor.

The police team, after shifting the dead body to the hospital, started an investigation.

Suspect killed in Lahore CCD shootout 

A suspected criminal was shot dead in an alleged shootout with Crime Control Department (CCD) in the Model Town area of Lahore.

The deceased, identified as Islam Ejaz, was involved in multiple robberies and extortion cases across Lahore and other parts of Punjab, according to police.

They said on a tip-off, CCD team attempted to nail the suspect in a raid.

The suspect opened fire on the police, triggering an intense exchange of gunfire that resulted in his death.

Rescue sources said that the body was shifted to the morgue. 

Further investigations are underway.
