Mahira Khan’s grandmom happy to see her back on TV with Shehr-e-Zaat

Superstar Mahira Khan has announced that her spiritual-romantic serial drama Shehr-e-Zaat is returning to television again following the lockdown of coronavirus.

Taking to Twitter, the Raees actress said that her nani (maternal grandmother) was pleased to hear the news.

She tweeted, “My Nani is so happy because Shehr-e- Zaat is coming on TV! She said ‘ab mein theek hoon’ (Now I am fine).”

Shehr-e-Zaat is a 2012 Pakistani spiritual romantic drama serial based on the novel of the same name by Umera Ahmed.

The serial is based on a story of young woman's journey as she strives to make up for all the time she has lost in worldly pursuits and finally give in to Allah's will, after learning harsh realities of life she travelled from Self to Subsistence.

The drama serial is directed by Sarmad Sultan Khoosat and produced by Momina Duraid and Abdullah Kadwani. It stars Mahira Khan, Mikaal Zulfiqar and Mohib Mirza in the leads roles.
