Ranbir Kapoor's Baaraat is expected to move from Krishna Raj to Vastu today. Police will barricade the entire stretch for 20-30 minutes, to ensure smooth movement of the baaraat. On the other hand, bride Alia Bhatt will be waiting at Vastu for the pheras.

Did you know Alia Bhatt met Ranbir Kapoor for the first time when she was 11 years of age?

Ever since the news of Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor's marriage broke out, the couple has been trending all over the internet. But, do you know this couple, who fell in love five years back in 2017 on the sets of their upcoming film ‘Brahmastra’, first met each other when Alia was just 11? Well, amid all the buzz about their marriage, we stumbled upon an old interview of Alia Bhatt wherein she opened up on her first meeting with Ranbir. Back in 2014, in an interview, Alia revealed that she met Ranbir as an 11-year-old for the first time when she went to meet filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

'When I first met Ranbir, I was probably 11 years old. I was very shy because I had to rest my head on his shoulder, but I couldn’t do it', said the actress.

Notably, Alia did a mini shoot with Ranbir where she put her head on his shoulder. While confessing that she has liked Ranbir Kapoor a lot since childhood, in the same interview, she further added, 'Ranbir was assisting Sanjay Leela Bhansali at that time. I met Sonam Kapoor also but I don’t remember that. It was damn stupid. And Sanjay sir still tells me you were flirting with Ranbir even at that time. I didn’t even know what flirting meant then.' She further shared that she 'fell in love with Ranbir' in the first frame of his debut film 'Saawariya.' She also recalled her statement made on filmmaker Karan Johar's chat show where she said, 'I want to marry Ranbir' and said, 'It’s like how one would say that they want to marry Angelina Jolie or somebody. You don’t really do that. It’s more hypothetical. It’s all in your head. I said that as a fangirl and I still say that as a fangirl but I am very honest about my love for him.' She also stated that 'when I meet Ranbir in real life, he is a different person altogether.' Meanwhile, Ranbir and Alia are all set to tie the knot on April 14th and embark upon a new journey of their lives as husband and wife.
