Punjab govt announces Eid holidays

After the federal government, the Punjab government, too, has announced five holidays on Eidul Fitr, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.

According to a notification issued by the Punjab government, there will be five public holidays in the province on the occasion of Eidul Fitr starting from April 21-25. 

On Thursday, the federal government announced five Eid holidays after the approval from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. 

The holidays will start from Friday next up to Tuesday. 

Eidul Fitr in Pakistan is likely to fall on April 22 (Saturday), according to scientific predictions.

However, if the month of Ramazan ends after 29 days, then the Eidul Fitr will be celebrated on April 21 (Friday).
