Applications invited as Punjab gifts 460 scholarships for brilliant Balochistan students
The Punjab government has provided 460 scholarships to the intelligent students of Balochistan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
According to Balochistan government’s circular, applications have been invited for the scholarships provided by the Punjab Education Endowment Fund.
The people of Balochistan expressed their gratitude to the Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
In this regard, Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti said the doors of quality education have been opened for the intelligent students of the province with the collaboration of Punjab and Balochistan Education Endowment Fund.
The scholarship program is a significant step towards providing wider opportunities for higher education for the students of Balochistan, Mir Sarfaraz Bugti said.
He said this initiative will not only significantly improve the quality of education but will also provide opportunities on an equal basis to the intelligent and deserving students.
In the past, only the children of the elite could access the country's top educational institutions, said Mir Sarfaraz Bugti.
Our government has opened the doors of quality education to the children of the common and less-well-off sections of Balochistan, Mir Sarfaraz Bugti added.
He said now the child of the common poor labourer of Balochistan is also studying in the prominent educational institutions of Pakistan.
Mir Sarfaraz Bugti said the admission of the son of a wagon driver in a major educational institution of the country is a clear example of positive and welcome change.
He said Balochistan is on the path of development and quality education is the fundamental right of every child.
