State Bank unveils Rs75 banknote on 75th Independency Day

The State Bank of Pakistan on Sunday unveiled the design of Rs75 commemorative banknote on the occasion of 75th Independence Day of Pakistan. The note will be available for public issuance from 30th September 2022, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to the SBP tweet, the commemorative banknote carries portraits of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Sir Syed Ahmed Khan, Allama Iqbal and Mohtarma Fatima Jinnah to recognize and acknowledge their contribution in Pakistan movement. The picture of Markhor on the note’s reverse highlights our focus on environmental sustainability.”

The note reflects different shades of green, predominantly emerald green.

The federal cabinet had already approved the design of the commemorative banknote a couple of months ago. 

The government had issued special Rs5 commemorative banknotes on August 13, 1997 to mark the 50th Independence Day of Pakistan.

The SBP keeps issuing commemorative currency bills to mark significant events in Pakistan’s history.
