The Punjab Education Department has decided to tighten the monitoring of school funds across the province, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.

According to details, the Punjab Education Department, through a notification, directed all district education authorities to submit the status of the audit committee.

It is pertinent to mention here that all the schools are bound to constitute an audit committee at the district level within 3 days.

The Punjab Education Department sought a reply from all the chief executive officers (CEOs). Those schools that failed to constitute an audit committee will have to give a solid reason

The District Audit Committee has to complete the audit of 30 to 40 percent of schools and submit its report to the Punjab Education Department.

It is necessary to mention here that the Punjab Education Department already submitted a plan to all schools regarding transparency while using school funds.
