Don’t wait for Feb, just do it, Sh Rasheed dares PDM on resignations, long march

Recently appointed Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed challenged opposition alliance Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) leadership to tender resignations as soon as possible without wasting any time, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed said PDM faced great humiliation in the December 13 Lahore gathering. PDM took part in its own politics and the results of their powershow in Lahore is in front of everyone.

After taking oath as Interior Minister, which is in fact his 15th ministry, he met with Prime Minister Imran Khan, who has directed him to inform the opposition that Imran Khan would not give any NRO.

Former Railways Minister whose ministry has now been reshuffled said to PDM leadership on resignation from assemblies, “You welcome. Do it. Do it as soon as possible.”

Sh Rasheed said the opposition has given time of February or March for resignations and holding a long march and dared them that they should not wait any longer and do the same right now as they cannot topple the government even doing so.

However, Sheikh Rasheed cautiously said, “The government does not want to close the doors of dialogue to bring peace and economic betterment in the country. Imran Khan is ready to talk except on NRO and corruption cases.”

Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed in first message to former prime minister Nawaz Sharif said: “Enough is enough. That’s it. You will fail in your agenda.”

Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed thanked Imran Khan for providing him another opportunity to serve as Interior Minister. “Imran Khan will complete his five-year term in office,” he vowed.

In his first presser, Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed said all Pakistani innocent people lying in the foreign jails will be driven back.

“Interior Mistry’s social media presence will now play its role also,” he added.

Sheikh Rasheed criticised Mehmood Akakzai and said he made irresponsible statements in PDM rallies after being defeated from elections.
