Defaulter of 166 e-challans finally caught in Lahore

Traffic police in Lahore on Tuesday finally managed to get hold of a man who had been issued e-challan for 166 times over traffic rules’ violations, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to CTO Lahore Muntazar Mehdi, the man had violated traffic signals 142 times and 12 times committed lane, line and stop violations. “He has been fined Rs80,400 over these violations,” he informed the media. 

He said that the man’s car’s registration papers had been seized, and would only be returned to him once he paid the fine.  

He said that 17 teams of City Traffic Police were busy impounding the vehicles of non-defaulting drivers. “Traffic wardens have also been provided with devices and printers with the help of which they can easily trace such cars.

He appealed to the people to follow the traffic rules.
