Blind Hafiz-e-Quran shot dead in his Karachi house

A blind Hafiz-e-Quran was shot dead by unidentified gunmen at his house in Shadab Ground of Orangi Town in Karachi, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday. 

According to police, deceased Danish, his three brothers and father are also visually impaired.

Danish's brothers stated that there was no sound of gunfire in the house, when they woke up early in the morning, the mobiles were missing and Danish's body was there.

He said Danish was Hafiz-e-Quran, Naib Qasid in a school, and a teacher at a madrasa for children.

“We all brothers are government employees and we have no enmity with anyone”, brother stated.

Police said the incident appears to be a case of personal enmity, no items were stolen or taken from the house.  

However, investigations into the incident are ongoing from various angles, police said.
