Punjab govt decides to establish 2 more teaching hospitals in Lahore

Punjab government has decided to establish 2 more teaching hospitals in Lahore and both teaching hospitals will be built in Nawaz Sharif Medical District set up near Khayaban-e-Amin Interchange Ring Road Lahore. 

191 acres of land has been allocated in Lahore for Nawaz Sharif Medical District. A new building for Children's Hospital-II will be constructed on 99 kanals of land. 

The construction of Children's Hospital-II has been estimated at Rs. 23.68 billion. An infectious diseases hospital will be established on 18 kanals in Nawaz Sharif Medical District at a cost of Rs 34 billion. 

A Centre for Excellence for Nursing Education and Midwifery worth Rs 13 billion will be established on 180 kanals. The Infrastructure Development Authority Punjab has issued tenders in this regard.
