Free WiFi service launched in Rahimyar Khan

The Punjab government on Monday launched free WiFi service in Rahimyar Khan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

The people of Rahimyar Khan are enjoying a digital gift presented by the Government of Punjab.

According to details, internet signals are available in Adda Khanpur, City Pull, School Bazaar, Railway Station, Jail Chowk and Hospital Chowk.

Now residents, students, and tourists can connect themselves with the whole world. The free WiFi services are available from Dari Sangi to Chak No 72-PN.

It is necessary to mention here that over 200 locations in Lahore have been provided with free Wi-Fi. The Punjab Safe Cities Authority has also extended this service to 11 districts of Punjab. A total of 270 Wi-Fi hotspots are now operational, providing internet access to citizens.

In addition to Lahore, services have been activated in Kasur, Nankana Sahib, Sheikhupura, Sialkot, Gujrat, Jhelum, and Attock, as well as key locations in Sahiwal, Okara, Murree and Rahim Yar Khan.

According to the spokesperson for the Safe Cities Authority, more than 13 million users have already consumed over 265 TB of data. Citizens are benefiting from the free Wi-Fi service, making their daily lives more convenient.

Under the Chief Minister’s directives, Punjab is being transformed into a digital province. It is important to note that the free Wi-Fi service is not intended for emergency services, video streaming, or entertainment.
