In a horrifying tragedy which took place in the Dillewali area of Mianwali, three brothers have been accused of killing their widowed sister-in-law by strangling her to death, in order to seize the financial aid awarded to her by the government upon her husband’s martyrdom, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.

Initial reports suggested that the woman was the widow of Naik Attaullah Shah, who was martyred a few months ago, leaving behind a wife and three children.

Local sources reported that instead of offering support, the brothers of the martyr allegedly began pressuring the grieving widow, driven by a desire to claim the compensation funds granted to her.

Following a complaint by the deceased’s brother, a formal case has been lodged against the accused at Thana Mochh.

Targeted raids have been launched in order to apprehend the suspects.
