Bhumi Pednekar promises ‘evolved love story’ with Imran Khan in upcoming film

Bollywood star Bhumi Satish Pednekar gave fans a sneak peek into her next project with actor Imran Khan, calling it an “evolved love story” during her appearance on The Right Angle with Sonal Kalra.

Following her nine-month break after the mixed reception of her web series The Royals, Bhumi focused on personal growth and mental health before making a strong comeback earlier this year with the film Daldal. On the latest episode of the show, she shared her excitement about what’s next.

Reflecting on her spiritual journey during the break, Bhumi revealed how visiting the Golden Temple and performing sewa helped her reconnect with herself and remain grounded. “Spirituality keeps you stable and energized,” she told host Sonal Kalra, adding that she wished she had discovered this earlier in life.

On her much-anticipated project with Imran Khan, Bhumi shared, “I’m so excited because Imran had a genre of rom-coms, and that genre now nobody is doing. He’s come back with a film which is his genre but elevated, more mature, more evolved it’s this evolved love story.”

She also revealed that Gurfateh Pirzada will be part of the film. Bhumi expressed her long-standing admiration for Imran, adding, “It was on my bucket list to work with him because I’ve been a fan of his films growing up, like Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na.”

According to industry buzz, the film is titled Adhoore Hum Adhoore Tum, directed by Danish Aslam (Break Ke Baad), and will mark Imran Khan’s return to Bollywood after a decade. Fans are eagerly awaiting more updates as Bhumi promises a fresh and mature take on the rom-com genre.
