PEF partner schools to observe Saturday as off-day

Punjab Education Foundation‘s (PEF) partners schools will observe Saturday as a weekly off-day and also changed school timings, reported 24NewsHDTV channel on Friday.

Before this, Punjab Education Foundation’s schools were not observing Saturday as an off-day.

Now the school will start at 8.45 am and will close at 1.30 pm. The schools will close at 12 pm on Friday. The new school hours are in effect until April 15, 2025. 

This means both students and teachers will now enjoy a two-day weekend (Saturday and Sunday), giving everyone the rest and balance they truly deserve. 

The step aims to improve not only students’ learning outcomes but also teachers’ well-being and professional performance.

According to officials, this decision wasn’t just about relaxation — it’s about creating a better work-life balance for both teachers and students.
