IGP Dr Usman visits Mayo Hospital, meets injured police officer, cops

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar visited Mayo Hospital Lahore to meet police officers and personnel injured in firing by miscreants in Muridke, reported 24NewsHDTV Channel. 

On the occasion, IG Punjab inquired about the well-being of the police personnel under treatment, prays for their speedy recovery. He said boosted the morale of the police personnel who were undergoing treatment by praising their performance and bravery. 

On the occasion, IG Punjab directed that the best medical facilities to the injured police personnel. 

 IG Punjab said he was proud of the police personnel who took bullets to the chest to protect the lives and property of the citizens. 

The injured undergoing treatment at Mayo Hospital included ASI Saleem, Constables Mohsin, Mujahid and Ali Akbar. 

The spokesperson of Punjab Police said a police officer of Punjab Police was martyred while 48 cops were injured in violence by angry mob. 17 police personnel were targeted by bullets of mobs, Spokesperson Punjab Police concluded.
