NEPRA hikes power price by 8 paisa per unit

National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has decided to hike electricity price by 8 paisa per unit on Tuesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to a notification, the electricity price hiked in monthly adjustment for August 2025. 

According to policy guidelines, price hike will also be applicable to electricity consumers, as the electricity consumers will be charged in October bills. 

Earlier, Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA) had demanded an increase of 19 paisa per unit in the August adjustment.
