The US dollar touched historic level against the Pakistani rupee as it gained 84 paisas in value during the inter-bank trading on Tuesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

With Tuesday’s gain, the US dollar has now reached its historic highest against the rupee which is Rs168.94.

Experts opined that the dollar had gained Rs16.66 in the last four months burdening Pakistan’s foreign debts by over Rs1,850 billion. The rupee’s downward journey may also cause a further rise in inflation, the experts feared.
