Meta announces Rs125m in aid for flood affectees

Meta, the international technology firm that owned the most popular social media platforms including Facebook and WhatsApp, has announced to donate Rs125million for the rehabilitation of flood affectees in Pakistan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Wednesday.

The Meta will provide this aid in all four provinces through international welfare organisations Unicef, Hands and ITA.

Meta’s Director for Emerging Markets Jordee Fornase said Pakistan is facing a severely devastating natural calamity and they are standing unite with the flood affectees for their rehabilitation.

He said they are also assisting the welfare organisations alongside providing opportunities for the rehabilitation of the flood affectees.

Unicef thanked Meta for their assistance in the time of need for Pakistan.
