Punjab stops flour trucks bound for Sindh, claims Memon

Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Memon has claimed that the PTI government in Punjab has not only halted flour supply to Sindh but also confiscated the flour, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel Wednesday.
He said in his tweet message, “PDMA purchased flour from Punjab for the flood affectees of Sindh. Today PTI’s Punjab government confiscated those trucks carrying flour bags at the Punjab border and lodged FIR. PTI, again and again, is crossing all the limits. Earlier, PTI activities ran a fake campaign and now they are stopping relief supplies”.

However, an FIR registered against a person namely, Abdul Sattar under Punjab Prevention Hoarding Act 2020 in Sadiq Abad, Punjab stated that a truck carrying 45000 bags of flour with 10kg each were being taken to Karachi, the capital city of Sindh, for hoarding purposes. It further stated that the flour will be auctioned at government rates and its amount will be deposited in the national exchequer.
