25 new dengue cases reported In Islamabad within 24 hours

As many as 25 new cases of dengue have been reported in Islamabad on Sunday, pushing the overall tally of patients to 458, 24NewsHD TV reported.

According to District Health Officer (DHO) officials,  21 patients among the total 25 cases had required hospitalisation, while the remaining were managed in home isolation.

Surprising, 25 new cases were also detected yesterday in the federal capital controlled area.  

The breakdown of the cases showed that both rural and urban areas are affected, with 13 cases emerging from each zone.

Bhara Kahu reported the highest number of new patients with six, followed by Rawat and Ali Pur, which registered three cases each.

Within the urban sectors, two cases each were detected in G-5, G-6, F-6, G-7, and F-10.

Single cases were reported from sectors G-11, E-11, H-9, F-13, G-9, and Tarlai-II.

Health authorities have stepped up their response with extensive surveillance and fumigation efforts across the city.

In the past 24 hours alone, 343 sites were inspected, and 14 were declared high-risk “hotspots” requiring immediate attention.

Fogging operations were also conducted at 133 locations to control mosquito breeding, while strict administrative measures and action against commercial sites found negligent in preventive measures were also reported.

 Officials assured that dengue control campaigns will continue at full strength to curb the rising number of cases.

The DHO urged citizens to cooperate by ensuring cleanliness in their surroundings, removing stagnant water, and promptly reporting symptoms to avoid complications.
