Iranian singer Omid Jahan dies during concert

Iranian singer Omid Jahan lost his life to cardiac arrest while performing at a concert in Bam, Iran, at the age of 43.

Jahan suffered from cardiac arrest and collapsed on stage while he was performing in Bam at the Bam Date Festival on September 12. 

He was immediately transported to Bam Pasteur Hospital by the emergency team present at the festival.

According to reports, the medical team tried to resuscitate Omid performing cardiac resuscitation operations twice. Afterwards, he was transferred to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

Despite the efforts, Omid passed away on Saturday afternoon.

The timing and place of his funeral are yet to be announced.

Omid Jahan was a renowned Iranian singer and actor known for developing his unique style in the Iranian music industry. He had rose to fame for blending Southern Iranian folk music with pop in songs like Hale Dan Dan and Veyli Veyli.
