Punjab governor reiterates PTI’s vow to support Parvez Elahi

Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) MNA Moonis Elahi held a meeting with Punjab Governor Omar Sarfraz Cheema on Friday during which matters pertaining to the current political situation in the province and the election of Punjab Chief Minister were discussed.
According to the report broadcasted by 24NewsHD TV channel, the governor during the meeting reiterated the vow to support Punjab Assembly Speaker Ch Parvez Elahi in the election of the chief minister.
The governor also said that cracks had started appearing in the coalition government, adding that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) would emerge again as a powerful force under the leadership of Imran Khan.
“The attacks on the state institutions in the past by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) are historical facts that cannot be denied,” he stated.
On the occasion, PML-Q MNA Moonis Elahi highlighted the welfare projects initiated in the past by Parvez Elahi as Punjab Chief Minister, adding that the election of Parvez Elahi as Punjab Chief Minister would become the foundation of tolerance, forbearance and good governance in the province.
“We will prove our majority in Punjab Assembly tomorrow. A strategy in store for the election of Parvez Elahi as Punjab Chief Minister,” he stated.
