Govt announces subsidy programme for farmers in Islamabad
The federal government on Wednesday announced a special subsidy programme for farmers in the federal capital, aiming to provide financial relief and support to small landowners.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel report, the scheme will benefit farmers who own less than 12.5 acres of land, ensuring that assistance reaches those most in need within the agricultural sector.
Officials said farmers can register for the subsidy through the Pakistan Asaan Khidmat App by completing three simple steps.
Applicants will be required to upload their personal information along with relevant documents to become eligible for the programme.
For those without access to smartphones, the government has introduced an alternative registration option through a dedicated helpline, allowing farmers to apply for assistance more easily.
Under the initiative, registered farmers will receive subsidies on various agricultural inputs, aimed at reducing production costs and improving overall farm productivity.
