Taking notice of the failure of Pakistani teams in the Tokyo Olympics, Imran Khan’s government had decided to conduct a forensic audit of the funds of the Pakistan Olympic Association (POA).

According to the 24News HD TV channel, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government had become annoyed with the authorities of the POA for returning home without winning a single medal in Tokyo Olympics.

The federal government had also decided to make the national sports system transparent to improve the environment of sports in Pakistan. 

The government had also decided to take strict action against those who were running parallel sports organizations to the POA and other national-level sports-related federations.

As per the report, the government had also decided to conduct a forensic audit of the other sports federations in the second phase after the POA audit.

During a forensic audit of the association, all the grants received from international organizations and the government for holding different events would be investigated in detail.
