PM Kakar summons meeting on IMF programme, economic situation
Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar has summoned an important meeting regarding the economic situation of the country and the IMF programme, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
Sources said officials from Finance Ministry, Federal Bureau of Revenue (FBR) and other related departments will brief the interim prime minister about the prevailing economic situation.
The meeting will also ponder over IMF programme and the future line of action.
It may be mentioned here that Anwaarul Haq Kakar was sworn in as the country’s 8th caretaker prime minister on Monday.
GB governor meets PM Kakar
Governor Gilgit Baltistan Syed Mehdi Shah called on Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar in Islamabad on Tuesday and congratulated him on assuming the charge of Caretaker PM.
Kakar thanked the GB Governor on extending best wishes to him.
The GB Governor said selection of a caretaker prime minister from Balochistan province would strengthen the federation of Pakistan. He invited Caretaker PM Kakar to visit GB and address the Gilgit Baltistan Assembly.
He also briefed him about the ongoing development projects including the infrastructure projects, and progress on Karakoram University. He also invited him to inaugurate the projects to be completed in near future.
Jam Kamal calls on PM
Former Chief Minister Balochistan Jam Kamal also called on PM Kakar on Tuesday and discussed matters relating to mutual interests.
During the meeting, Jam Kamal congratulated Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar on assuming the charge of Caretaker PM. He also extended best wishes to him.
The Caretaker PM thanked Jam Kamal for his best wishes.
Politician Ali Mardan Domki was also present on the occasion.
