US counter-terrorism coordinator Gregory Lografo calls on Mohsin Naqvi
US Counter-terrorism Coordinator Gregory Lografo called on Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry, Acting US Ambassador Natalie Baker and Federal Interior Secretary were also present on the occasion.
US Counterterrorism Coordinator Gregory Lografo congratulated Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and the Pakistani nation on Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day.
The meeting agreed to increase cooperation in various fields including Pak-US relations, counter-terrorism, border security, and counter-narcotics.
The meeting also agreed to make information exchange in the fields of counter-terrorism and counter-narcotics effective.
Talking on the occasion Mohsin Naqvi said after the coming to power of President Donald Trump, Pak-US relations have improved significantly.
Mohsin Naqvi said US President Donald Trump's sincere efforts for world peace are commendable.
Transparency, mutual trust and cooperation are prominent elements in Pak-US relations, said Mohsin Naqvi.
He said this is a great opportunity to promote mutual relations in every field.
Mohsin Naqvi said the counter-terrorism dialogue will help in formulating a joint action plan.
The US's designation of the banned BLA and the banned Majeed Brigade as global terrorist organizations is a good move, Mohsin Naqvi said.
He said positive results of Pak-US cooperation in eliminating terrorism will be seen.
On the occasion, Gregory Lografo said Pakistan is a very important country in geostrategic terms.
