The case of Lahore’s SSP Mufakhar Adeel witnessed a new turn on Saturday.
Investigators found details of a drug purchase on the SSP’s laptop. Besides his laptop was also used for contacting party girls. His close friends have confirmed such parties and the use of drugs.
It was revealed that a rented house in Faisal Town, Lahore, hosted a bachelors’ party a few days ago.
The chief investigator has now sent a summary to IGP Punjab to close SSP Mufakhar Adeel’s case.
SSP Mufakhar Adeel did not report to duty on Monday without submitting any leave application and also did not answer calls on his mobile phone.
The summary read that another officer should be appointed replacing SSP Mufakhar Adeel.
The CCPO Lahore has sent the latest summary to IGP Punjab instead of sending it to the concerned branch.
So far, Lahore Police have been proceeding with SSP’s case with confidentiality.
