12 Auqaf Dept staffers suspended for looting visitors at Lal Shahbaz shrine

As many as 12 employees of the Auqaf Department have been suspended on the orders of Sindh Chief Minister (CM) Syed Murad Ali Shah after a video in which they could be seen looting visitors to the shrine of Sufi saint Lal Shahbaz Qalandar went viral on social media, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.  

It is worth mentioning here that the Urs celebrations are due to start at the shrine in a few days, and devotees have already started flocking to the shrine, giving these persons an opportunity to fleece them.  

The moment the devotees put money into the donation box, the employees snatch the amounts from them.

Sources have told 24News TV channel that there are 30 to 40 men at the shrine who snatch amounts from the devotees.
