Khyber District Police Officer (DPO) Dr Muhammad Iqbal has ordered suspension of 52 policemen for being absent, saying the department does not need such ‘non-serious persons.

The Khyber DPO said the fate of suspended police will be decided after an inquiry.

"The provincial police force has no room for such a sheer negligence and compromise on discipline is out of question, he said adding that discipline will be maintained at all costs.
