A Pakistani carpenter named Waqas has become a model in Saudi Arabia. The 24-year-old informed a news outlet that he came to the Kingdom four years ago and before that he was working as a carpenter.
Waqas has done many fashion ‘shoots’ with advertising companies. He said that he couldn’t believe that one day he’ll quit the job as a carpenter and become a model for ‘designer clothes’.
In an interview, Waqas said, “I came to Saudi Arabia four years ago to work as a carpenter. And I never thought of becoming a model in advertising.”
He continued to say, “One day I saw my friend (Faisal) editing the photos of a photo session. I told him that since childhood I have wanted to work in this field but in Pakistan, I did not get the chance, so my friend suggested and took a picture of me and sent it to the relevant person.”
The carpenter-turned-model revealed how his friend shared his picture on Twitter. According to Waqas, the picture reached some people related to advertising and had a good response. Moreover, he also talked about how agreements were made with the institutions later on.
