The Karachi police Monday claimed to have nailed main murderer of a journalist, Wali Khan Babar – nine years after the heinous crime.
According to Karachi police chief Ghulam Nabi, Kamran alias Shani was frequently changing his hideouts.
On a tip off, a joint operation was launched at Liquatabad where the accused was residing with his family.
An anti-terrorism court had awarded four men life imprisonment in the murder case and two other, Faisal alias Mota and Kamran alias Shani, were given death sentences in absentia in 2014.
Faisal alias Mota was arrested from Nine Zero, the headquarters of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement in March 2015, while Kamran alias Zeeshani Shani was on the run.
Kamran joined the MQM-London in 2008 and became part of Faisal alias Mota’s target killing team.
Reportedly Wali Khan Babar wanted to interview better-half of Altaf Hussain.
