You can’t terrorise me with arrest threat: Maryam Nawaz to NAB
Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz Sharif Monday responding to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) said that NAB could not terrorise her with a third-time arrest threat and she would continue to speak for the people of Pakistan, reported 24NewHD TV channel.
PMLN Vice President said: “Those who are dreaming of smashing Maryam are actually trying to save their sinking boat in a bid to control Maryam. I had twice gone behind the bars and I would do so for the third time as well.”
Criticising the incumbent government she commented, “Even you failed in taking revenge and now you are dragging the judiciary in your revenge. I appeal to the judiciary not to hear such petitions.”
“NAB has merely become an institution to arrest the opponents of Imran Khan instead nabbing corruption.” she alleged.
She was talking to the media outside Lahore High Court (LHC) before a case hearing. A two-judge bench comprising Justice Sardar Muhammad Sarfraz Dogar and Justice Asjad Javed Gharal will hear the petition filed by NAB chairman on seeking cancellation of Maryam Nawaz bail in Chaudhry sugar mill case. The Interior Ministry and Maryam Nawaz have made parties in the petition filed by NAB.
Maryam said NAB has not filed any case or reference against her and they were feeling the heat after PDM kept on winning the by-polls and now they wanted to arrest her.
“Long March and resignations are on the table and today’s PMLN preparatory meeting will be addressed by Nawaz Sharif before the PDM meeting due on March 16,” Maryam revealed.
Maryam also demanded a thorough investigation on the installation of cameras on Senate Chairman and Deputy Chairman Elections.
“It was clearly stamped on the name of the candidate Yousaf Raza Gillani. It is the same and more like knowing the voting intention. What pain do you have? This is like I will not accept the result at any cost. I hope Yousaf Raza will win from the court,” Maryam Nawaz said.
Responding to the Javed Latif statement that stirred controversy Maryam Nawaz said, “Long live Pakistan and will remain so. Javed Latif is a patriot and just ask people of Sheikhupura why they elect him again and again.”
PML-N Vice President said, “I am a politician and if a politician will not do politics then what he or she will do. If you are afraid of statements then what can I do.”
She also mentioned the inflated sugar prices which has now exceeded Rs105 in various cities and vowed that she will keep on speaking about inflation and government’s lawlessness, ATMs, sugar theft and gas theft.
Maryam warned, “If you target PML-N again and again, then you will also be targeted.”
Maryam maintained that the coronavirus will vanish but Imran Khan's only vaccination is to de-thrown him from the seat.
“Even if they present me my passport and ticket in a tray. I will reject the offer,” she clarified.
“I am not afraid of anyone…those names which Nawaz Sharif mentioned I believe in are. First Pakistani media will broadcast the speech of Nawaz Sharif then I will respond to the question,” she added.
