PML-N leader Ghaffar Dogar arrested in Multan
Maryam Nawaz says Multan rally will go ahead as planned despite the arrest
According to the Anti-Corruption Department, the accused has occupied a one-kanal-one-marla home illegally. He illegally occupied the land sold out in 2001 by using a 1998 sale deed in his name which he obtained through forgery and fraud, said the reference prepared by the Anti-Corruption Department against Abdul Ghaffar Dogar.
The said property was first sold by Kaneez Akhtar to Bushra Sultana in 2001, Bushra Sultana then sold it to one Mazhar Javed who mortgaged the property to Muslim Commercial Bank (MCB) for a loan. The Bank then decided to auction the property as Mazhar Javed failed to return the loan, the reference said.
In order to block the auction by the bank and deprive the government of property tax, the accused used the forged sale deed, the reference said.
Maryam Nawaz tweet
In a tweet on Sunday, PML-N Vice-President Maryam Nawaz said: “Public rallies have been held before and Insha’Allah the rally in Multan will be held on time. No matter how many tactics will be used by the puppet and selected government, it cannot undermine the spirits, courage and morale of our workers.”
She said: “Dogar Sahib's only crime is that he is following the narrative of Nawaz Sharif.”

In another tweet, PML-N Vice President said that when people like Nawaz Sharif an elected Prime Minister were in power then 126-day sit-in also failed but when they are selected, their legs start shaking from such public rallies.
“A crackdown always starts before public rallies because of the PML-N fear factor. The government will have to go home, God willing,” she added.
